COMPETITIVE CLIMBERS PACKAGE

A Fitness Program Designed to Improve Mobility, Strengthen Performance, and Prevent Injury

Typical areas of injury are the shoulders, elbows, and fingers, especially for young climbers. Young climbers are still growing, so it is important to protect their epiphyseal plates as well as build strong bone density. This is where injury prevention protocols created by a skilled PT can come in hand! 

Dr. Anna Chang,DPT designed the Competitive Climbers Program (CCP) with the intention of supplementing team practices - to make the climber a well-rounded athlete. By signing up for this program, climbers will be guided through a series of exercise protocols and safety guidelines that will ensure readiness for top performance.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

⦿ MOVEMENT ASSESSMENT

Dr. Anna Chang will start with a movement assessment to observe your climbing ability, identify your current fitness level, and discern areas that need improvement.

⦿ TARGETED MOBILITY & STRENGTHENING EXERCISES

You will be provided with a targeted mobility & strengthening protocol that aligns with team practice

⦿ "SAFE WEIGHT" GUIDELINES

As you perform certain exercises, Dr. Anna Chang will observe your body mechanics and determine safe weight ranges for resistance training.

⦿ WEEKLY CHECK-INS

You will check with Dr. Anna Chang weekly, and she will make adjustments to your plan as needed
